"The piece is developed from a larger project ("Picturesque") which I am working on. The thematic is nature and existence. Naturestudy also deals with questions about alienation.

In the piece, there is a small, white mouse which views a photography of pure nature. The body language of the mouse expresses both horror and curiosity.

The mouse could also be a lab mouse and representative of science, which on many levels is not in dialogue with nature. Or perhaps the mouse represents a viewer, a Homo Sapiens, which doesn't longer grasp the essence of nature. It is just an image for us."
